Mother and son hospitalized after beating

York County Sheriff's Deputies have found a man in Rock Hill who they wanted to question in connection with the attack of a woman and her 16-year-old son.

The woman's boyfriend, Danny Pittman, is being questioned about the attack.

The boy was beaten so badly he may have permanent brain damage.

The mom, Kimberly Faile-Bryant, was seriously injured too.

Her 11-year-old daughter found the two on Wednesday night and called police.

Bryant’s father said he doesn’t understand why someone would do this to his family.

"They crushed her skull and about killed my grandson," said Rick Faile.

Faile told Eyewitness News his daughter has a long recovery ahead and his grandson's beating was so severe it may have left him with permanent brain damage.  Deputies have not named a suspect, but Faile believes the person responsible meant to kill them both.

"She'd do anything for anybody, loves anybody to death," Faile said.

Investigators said Kimberly's car, a 2006 Kia Sorento was missing.  Pittman also went missing.

Deputies have not said what they have learned from Pittman.
