CHARLOTTE, N .C. —
Police are at the scene of a serious accident in west Charlotte.
Medic said that two pedestrians were struck at the intersection of Shady Lane and W. Tyvola Road.
Witnesses on the scene told Channel 9 that two children were struck by a truck.
A man, who said he was the father, told Channel 9 that the children were his 1-year-old and 5-year-old sons.
Medic has confirmed that two patients were transported with life-threatening injuries to Carolinas Medical Center Main.
Channel 9 has a crew headed to the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.
